We are here - Masters week has arrived and on the back of a lovely Easter Weekend for golf. I hope you have all managed to get some golf and start your season in the spring sunshine. As we have the first Major of the season starting at Augusta on Thursday, I have decided to run a Masters Final Day Stableford, over nine holes.
You can play anytime on Sunday and try to win the inaugural Leith Shield and the Green polo shirt. This will become an annual event with John Leith having donated a shield for you all to play for and Galvin Green donating a green top as a prize. Entry will be in the pro shop from 8.30am and will cost £2. We hope you all use the Club from Thursday as the event is only available to watch on Sky Sports which can be viewed on both screens in the lounges.
It was great to see so many about the Club over the weekend and on Easter Monday. I appreciate your patience as the shop takes shape with new arrivals daily. I would like to say a huge thanks to Wilson Staff for their merchandising efforts on Friday which has given me a great display - click here to view Wilson's complete 2015 range.
Custom fitting will be available all year round with Wilson, please come in and demo the new products and I can arrange a personal fitting session with a Wilson Staff fit specialist. The new Dx2 Soft ball is a great addition to their range, only costing £5 for a sleeve and £17 per dozen - you have to try this soft distance ball!
Hopefully you will have seen the new bar upgrade but for those who have not been about here is a sneak preview of the completed work. We are delighted with the work and thank all of you for your patience whilst works were being carried out.
The Scramble competition that took place on Saturday (4th April) was won by the Murrays and MacPhersons with a score of 55.3. This was easily good enough for victory, with Lord Rice team finishing in second with 57.1. Team Shanks finished in third with 58.3, Team Toots in fourth with 58.4 and Team Newman in fifth with 59.3. Well done to all teams!
The new BRS online booking system is now fully operational, please go online or through the club website and book your tee-times. If you have any queries please ask or call the shop.
