I hope you are all well. Wow can't believe we are into September, a short and very busy golf season is drawing to a close but the good news is your course is in fabulous condition and we are doing everything we can with our small workforce to keep it in prime condition moving towards October.

Please keep your eye on the windows adjacent to 1st tee for any local rule changes daily including preferred lies.

T O Neill results

Another busy week at GGC with Saturday's T O Neill bringing new winners to the podium - congratulations to John Connor & Brian Litterick who scored a brilliant -12 to win. All competitors seemed to enjoy their day out.

Club lockers

As you will have seen we have moved a step closer to normality with the re-opening of the locker room - indoor centre - trolley shed BUT as a serious COVID-19 reminder please use all the hand sanitiser stations around the club when entering and exiting.

Social Distancing is in place for you & our staff as health and safety are very important. The oneway system is still operational and even when you take your trolley from the shed you must go round the front of the building to enter the course & 1st tee.

DJ wins big

How does a $15 million payday sound to you? For playing golf?

Dustin Johnson finally achieved one of the few things missing from his CV on Monday evening when he stepped off the 18th green at East Lake GC. Sadly, there were no fans to cheer him on, but DJ won the TOUR Championship and, as a result, the season-long FedEx Cup - the PGA Tour's order of merit.

If ever there was a deserving winner, it’s a man who finished the season T2-1-2-1; a run that started at the PGA Championship. Seeing DJ back to his best makes for beautiful viewing. If you’d like to give your playing partners some better viewing on the course, why not book in for a lesson with a member of the team?

Try something new this week

There's a new ball in town

As its name suggests, this ball is all about delivering maximum speed on full swing shots. What does that mean for your game? Longer carries and added distance without needing to hit the ball any harder.

Wedges that work for you

Over the past few weeks, we've worked our way through the bag, from hybrids to irons and now to wedges. Each time we've been looking at what we want from each club and how it fits into our bag. So, how well do your wedges compliment the rest of your set?

Make a change
