Gapping

Following on from my end of season survey results I was made aware that finding out how far you carry your clubs is important to a lot of you.

Between now and April why not book a 30-minute gapping session with me to go over your distances?

Footwear focus

With new exciting products arriving daily, your pro shop is starting to fill up! Deliveries are about to hit the shop floor, with new exciting ranges coming from Under Armour and FootJoy.
 
2020 will see me focus on these brands with new in-store fitting options and a brand new point of sale highlighting their benefits.

You now have the option to click and collect any shoe on my Foremost website, and this option will soon open up to Skechers, Adidas and ECCO.

Now is the time to pop in for a chat and look at what you would like to change, improve on or add to your golf equipment for 2020.

Are pro's hitting it too long?

Phil Mickelson may have fallen just short of victory at Pebble Beach but he didn’t fall short on having his say on the R&A and USGA’s newly published Distance Insight Report.

The long-awaited 13-page document essentially states that further average hitting distances would be detrimental to the future of the game and although it does not offer a solution, it does hint at possibilities such as conformance tests for clubs and balls.

Lefty was a little concerned saying: ‘I don't feel that you should punish the athletes for getting better’. However, Saudi International winner Graeme McDowell agreed that the increase in distances ‘really needs to stop somewhere’.

Now, both governing bodies will conduct a broad review of golf equipment and ball specifications to see if a solution can be found.

No cold allowed

We often hear bamboozling tech words being banded around when it comes to the latest drivers and it's not uncommon for the same thing to occur in clothing either. That being said, every now and then there is something that does make us stop what we're doing and take note.
