Well captain McGinley has done his job. He has delivered another Ryder Cup win and ensured that we get to keep Samuel Ryder's trophy on our shores. I am sure everyone enjoyed the golf this weekend. From Webb Simpson's near miss on Friday morning to Rory booming it down the first in his demolition of Ricky, the moments were all memorable.
I was lucky enough to see a lot of the golf and to be part of this amazing event but the most memorable was definitely the atmosphere around the first tee on both Friday and Saturday morning. The arena that was created and the 25,000 people made it amazing to be part of.
Daragh and I had game three on Saturday morning - Martin Kaymer and Thomas Bjorn v Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed. Although team USA ran out worthwhile winners in this match, being able to walk the fairways was unbelievable. Speith and Reed were very impressive in all parts of their game.
Daragh and I were very lucky to get some time inside the ropes and I was also able to take some friends to the event as guests on Friday and Saturday. The pictures below show us all during the event.
