Golf Update
It has been a busy few weeks to end the playing season and I have been representing Gourock at a few local charity golf days.
Last weekend I made the long trip to Forsyth St Greenock to play the annual tri-am event which supports local charities. On a particularly horrific afternoon Greenock was completely under water with every hole unplayable but we were forced to keep going. I managed to remember back to my childhood and nursed the ball round in a level par 68 to finish 2nd The week before I attended Calum's Cabin annual Golf Day at Mar Hall, with again a very wet golf course meeting us on arrival, the bunkers full of water and fairways a tad muddy. My team and I won this team event with a fantastic -22 under. Last Thursday I made the short trip by plane to Machrihanish to join 3 friends on a 40th birthday day out (not my birthday) we played the Old Course and enjoyed the local hospitality before flying back that same evening . All this through logan air for just £119. |
