Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly newsletter. In this week's email, we take a closer look at product that's currently sitting on the shelves in-store, our video of the week is something that you have probably never seen before, whilst we also shed some light on to what has us more excited than usual this week.

Pro's Day

Not long to wait!

It's the week of Professional’s Day and at time of this newsletter going to print I have 53 teams signed up and ready to go. Tee times are ranging from 7.52 - 14.16 with everyone playing from the 1st tee this year in a Texas Scramble format. The entry sheet is now closed as I can't accommodate anymore teams or we will be starting prize giving at 10pm.

I have a vast range of prizes arriving daily from all the major companies and the support is greatly appreciated from Callaway, Cobra, Galvin Green, Odyssey and Cleveland plus many other members and friends who have donated to the prize list and raffle.

The beneficiary of this year’s raffle will be GlowGoldSeptember which I and the club are supporting with local involvement from many of you around Gourock this month.

Let's hope the weather gives us a well-deserved break and we tee off as planned. If the weather Gods are once more against us I will endeavour to make an early decision and be in touch with everyone down to play as soon as possible.

In the golfing world this week…

Did you see Tiger’s teaser on social media last week? Woods posted a video of him practicing his pitching on Thursday (watch video) with the comment, ‘Dr. gave me the ok to start pitching’. You’ll be aware that the 14-time major winner is recovering from his fourth back surgery but the question still remains: will he ever return to his best?

Taking place this week is the 2017 World Long Drive Championship in America. Britain’s best hope is Joe Miller - last year’s champion - but it’ll take something hugely impressive to beat World Number One Maurice Allen, whose longest drive this season is a mere 484 yards...

As we go to print, the updated news from the car park is that we have the guys from Foresight Sports onsite installing our simulator pods this week and working alongside Union Projects to complete this build in September.
