Tartan Tour
Thursday will see me represent Gourock at the second Calum's Cabin Golf Day at Mar Hall. This amazing charity was set up 10 years ago to support families with children that are unwell and require some respite care over the water in Rothesay.
Following this, on Sunday I travel up North to play in the Highland Links 54-hole event for the first time, closing the curtain on my 2016 season in the process. We will play three different courses over consecutive days in a team format of two scores per hole, and I will be playing in an individual strokeplay event too. We are fortunate enough to be playing Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Castle Stuart and I'm very excited to play these amazing courses.

Roxburgh Trophy
The prestigious Roxburgh Trophy was played on Saturday in perfect September conditions. Winners on the day with a superb 58.5 were the team led by Greg Chamberlain, including Jack Broadley, Jack McGhee and Ross McIlravey. Well done to all, including Paul Elder and Jack Broadley for winning the novelty hole prizes.

Graduation Night
This week we bring down the curtain on our successful junior academy with our inaugural graduation night on Friday at 6:30pm. All the boys and girls who have been coming every Tuesday will be invited along to a fun night in the club.
Winter hours
We're about to enter the time of the year when the pro shop starts to close a little earlier due to sunlight and afternoon footfall. So from next week, the shop will be closed every Tuesday (as per previous years) as well as closing early on Thursdays. As always I'm contactable at any time through mobile phone or email. My full Winter hours will be displayed on door of pro shop very soon.
All change in the pro shop
Over the past week I have been very busy moving and shaking the pro shop about in preparation for a lot of new deliveries. It's been very welcome to hear so many compliments regarding the new set-up and more importantly purchasing the new stock - some of it before I even had the chance to present it on the rack! New collections from the likes of Under Armour dominate the current stock, including GGC logoed wind tops and waterproof suits for under £130.
