Callaway win at The Open

Well done to Callaway Staffer Henrik Stenson on a most remarkable win last weekend at Royal Troon. 

20-under-par was an unbelievable score and having met the cool man himself on Monday at Ibrox, it must have been all the wedge practice he did as the picture shows. His final round duel with Phil Mickelson was a joy to watch and may take many years to be rivalled.




Pro's Day - My annual day of fun golf and crazy pin positions is coming up on 20 August. Entries will be available from 7:00am on Saturday, 31 July in the pro shop in person only. Any teams or individuals wishing to sponsor a hole or the event please get in touch here to discuss and your tee-time will be guaranteed before the sheet goes public. This time sheet will not be available on BRS system.


Holiday - I am taking annual leave this week as I go away between Tuesday 19th and Monday 25th inclusive to spend some time with Gillian and my boys. If you require anything please contact John, Hugh or Alec in the pro shop.




Our annual Guintoli/Aitken Junior Open was scheduled for this week but due to a low entry, the junior committee decided to postpone the event. We will let you know once a new date has been arranged.

The Junior Academy will start back next week (26th) and continue until end of September. All of the coaches have been away and we look forward to seeing everyone back on a Tuesday evening.
