Hello golfer,

I would like to start this week's newsletters by mentioning one of the stalwarts of the ladies section who is celebrating a major birthday this Monday. Mrs Marion Rice is 80 years young - Happy birthday, Marion.




My Callaway Fitting Day is now FULL. This event, on Tue 26 May, has been quickly booked up and I will be announcing dates very soon for demo events with Wilson and Cobra. There has been plenty of interest in both Callaway and Cobra this week with the demo drivers being out every day, please come in and try.

Our popular Junior Academy nights are about to start with the first night scheduled for the first Tuesday in May. These will run for 20 consecutive weeks. Two registration events will be held prior to this to book your son, daughter or grandchild onto the course: Tuesday 26th at 7pm and Thursday 28th at 6pm. This year the cost will be £20 for non-members and £10 for current members of GGC.




There has been more new stock arriving this week and I can now say the shop is FULL. Glenmuir's 2016 range of club crested polo shirts and slipovers are now available with prices from £34.95.

The new range of Odyssey putters have also arrived and with the putting green almost ready for action, now is the time to get in and try a new Odyssey putter.




We have had a great, dry week at GGC with lots of work going on. All of the greens, including the putting green, will have been top-dressed by Thursday. All of the bunkers are being maintained with edging and remedial work ongoing. At the time of writing, I do not have any news r.e. mats and when we will be on the grass but that should follow very very soon. I hope you all manage to get out on the course this weekend.
