Happy New Year
To all my members, golfing friends and customers - 2016 is here and let's hope the sun shines on Gourock GC this year.
SALE - SALE - SALE- SALE
Starting this Friday almost every stock item will be on sale! This annual event is done to clear the shelves in preparation for when the new spring/summer stock arrives. The rail is full of amazing bargains including Lyle & Scott, Glenmuir, Sunderland, Callaway, Galvin Green and adidas products. As in previous years, your account monies CAN be used for sale items so please take this opportunity to clear your account and start afresh in 2016.

4th - Bill Dempster - Sunderland top
5th - Hugh Haig - Callaway goodie bag

Thanks to all of you who supported this year's raffle and I hope Stephen enjoys his new clubs.
I want to say thanks to all of you who have taken the time to wish me a happy birthday this week! Gillian and I have been very busy over the festive period including a wedding at Loch Lomond last weekend, but it has been very humbling to have so many birthday wishes. Now it's time for back to work and to be ready for the new season.
I will also be playing a few Winter Alliance events over the next few weeks including trips to Barassie & Glasgow Gailes. This will start my winter preparation for the forthcoming season. I have had an 8-week rest from competitive golf and I am now looking forward to a good season on the course. Part of my pre-season will include a trip to Callaway's state-of-the-art custom fitting centre at St Andrews to try some new equipment. This facility is free to visit if you are interested in new kit for this year, please come into shop for a chat and I can arrange a booking for you or get in touch here.
In next week's newsletter I will have a feature on all of the winter works on and around the course. In the meantime a reminder that everyone must use the winter mats whilst playing. Lifting into semi-rough is not permitted and I'm sure no-one will want to be landing in old divots just off the fairway come April!
Around 120 of you enjoyed our annual Hogmanay Bash to bring in the New Year. Thanks to DJ Craig for providing the tunes. The 2016 Burns Supper is coming up in a few weeks and is now FULL, this event is a mixed event for the first time and all who have got their names onto the list will enjoy a great night with quality food and speakers.
